A note on the charter business.... We've learned over the past month to not get upset over people / companies not following through on them saying "I'll phone back and book a little later".  That's they're way of saying "I'm just searching out prices / options and I may not be back"


If the customer doesn't book that day we don't hold our breath.  This happens more often when businesses call for information.  Individual people not booking on behalf of a business don't usually lead companies on.


Most of our wedding / pub crawls follow through and phone back within the time frame we tell them they have to pay by.  Which is usually 5 business days for business check and usually 1-2 days before for cash.   Yes we make them pay ahead but that has shown the people who are serious about booking with us.  You know what the non-business trips have had no problem with this.  I think this also helps cause we get to meet the person ahead of time and see what they're like.  They seem to be more comfortable at that time as well cause they've met us and know we're the drivers.  Plus we get to answer more of their questions.
